My Favorite Cookbook

I’m notorious for never following recipes or just throwing things together in the kitchen. It generally works out, but sometimes I’m looking for someone else to give me the guide to making a meal so I don’t have to think about it. The Flavor cookbook is my go to source for guilt free and scrumptious meals. This is the one cookbook I’d never part with. There is nothing I’ve made in it that isn’t absolutely delicious. If you need recipe ideas, I highly recommend this book!

The Best Sleep Tea

I generally don’t have any problem falling asleep, but on those rare occasion when I just can’t turn my mind off I love a warm glass of tea. I like the Pukka Night Time Tea in particular because it contains valerian root. Valerian root sends me off to the land of nod in a matter of minutes. I prefer it hot, but I’ve also had it iced. Both are a delicious way to enjoy this tea when you need a bit of a relaxing effect in your evening.

A Yoga Mat That Lasts

I have searched high and low for a yoga mat that is great for practicing mandala (circular) yoga and also one that will withstand vigorous daily use. I’ve been through every type of mat I can think of. Some are too squishy, others are too thin. Some end up falling apart while I’m using them making me covered in yoga mat tidbits at the end of my practice. Others are so difficult to clean I feel dirty every time I start a new practice.

Collagen Builder

I currently don’t use this product, but I have used it in the past and love it. I used it in smoothies for a quick breakfast or easy snack because sometimes life is busy and it’s difficult to take the time to eat. This builder gave me the peace of mind that I was getting adequate nutrients to keep my body healthy during those busy mornings. It has no flavorings, which I really love as well!

Multivitamin Recommendations

While I cannot take credit for finding this multivitamin brand, my darling sister is the one who recommended them, I can say they pass my research test. It takes a lot of research to find supplements that hold up to their claims and also meet the standards of a whole food source. I can recommend these, as of today, with certainty that they are the best that I’ve found. If you have another you think is better, I’d love to hear about it. I’m always looking to improve and share the information with others!

Beans Beans… BLACK BEANS!

As you’ve probably guessed we go though our fair share of beans around our house. I’m picky about where I purchase beans, though. They must be organic and I need them in large quantities. Enter Mulberry Farms! They do such a wonderful job of providing us with quality beans. I’ve been purchasing products from them for the past two years and their consistency is wonderful. I highly recommend them.

My ‘Good For Everything’ Soap

This is going to sound crazy, but I use this soap for everything. It’s my bath soap, dish soap, hand soap and I even use it to wash my fruits and veggies. Dr. Bonners Castile soap is made from oil, so it’s non-toxic, vegan, cruelty-free, and works on everything. I know some people even use it to make their laundry soap. I don’t go that far, but it really is good for everything else.

The Best Pizza Crusts

They’re great if you like thin crust pizza, which we do. I top them with oil free pizza sauce, julienned broccoli and carrots, cauliflower, artichoke hearts, olives, black beans, and a sprinkle of nutritional yeast and hemp seeds. Try them for yourself and let me know how you topped yours!

Laundry Detergent I Love

We’ve been loving this It’s So Pure All Natural Laundry Detergent Powder because it doesn’t contain any harmful ingredients and really does get laundry fresh and clean. We’ve been using only powder for our laundry since having a conversation with a chemist about how liquid detergents actually destroy clothes faster.
