Hearty Breakfast Farro

Farro is a hearty grain that looks much like a wheat berry. It has a great texture when cooked and is a wonderfully filling way to begin the day.

Instructions
  1. In a medium size saucepan over high heat, bring water to a boil. Add farro and turn too low. Let simmer for 20-25 minutes or until water has been absorbed.
  2. Divide cooked farro into 4 serving bowls. Add 1/2 cup of mixed berries to each as well as 1/8 cup chopped almond and 1 tsp maple syrup. Serve immediately.
  3. Almond milk can be added if desired for serving.

I've also prepared this is the instant pot. It requires approximately 5 minutes on pressure cook to cook the farro.
