Is Taking a Multi-Vitamin Necessary?

This is a very loaded question. There are so many supplements out there it can be mind boggling to decipher what is actually necessary for you personally. In addition to that, how do you determine quality in a market that is unregulated; even in the regulated market of supplements things aren’t drastically better. While I’d love to open this up to all supplements, for the sake of clarity let’s stick to my opinion on multi-vitamins for now. I’ll give you my opinion on if I think they’re necessary, how to determine quality, and the current debate about multi-vitamins. Hopefully, this will help you make a determination if taking a multi-vitamin is right for you and how to select one.
